You'll usually find Rikku delving around for machina, thieving from the local market, or scouting for rare items. Rikku is a young, perky Al Bhed girl of seventeen who has a penchant for mechanics, alchemy, and thievery. As an Al Bhed, she has suffered discrimination from the Yevonite majority. Despite that, she managed to to keep a positive outlook before her. She is the daughter of Cid, younger sister to Brother, and younger cousin of Yuna. Her mother was killed by a berserk machina some time after Rikku's birth. Two years previous to her current position, she was an aid to Tidus by preventing her brother and their Al Bhed allies from killing him. She was able to join Yuna's group after explaining her abduction attempt to Yuna and the rest of the posse. She has a strong will, fighting to save her cousin, her people, and Spira. Though, she has to fight many battles, deal with the anti-Al Bhed prejudices of Yevonites, and see her home utterly destroyed. During this time, she had a very sibling-like relationship with both Yuna and Tidus, and offered support whenever necessary. Two years after saving Yuna from the Final Summoning, she is a member of the Gullwings which is lead by Brother. Rikku is very loyal to Yuna, giving her support when she discusses her feelings towards the loss of Tidus, and her hopes to be reunited with him. She would always make sure to lighten dangerous situations by offering humor or using her strange expressions. Rikku also made sure to get through Paine's difficult barrier, so she could actually have fun and brighten up some more.
